How to Connect PeopleForce as Data Source
Integration will allow you to get data from PeopleForce on new, hired or fired employees, as well as new data on candidates, absence requests and tasks, transferring them to other systems. For example, you can transfer data on new employees to CRM or Google Sheets, or send them as notifications to a Slack. This way you can automate the process of interaction between PeopleForce in conjunction with the services you use and store all the information in one place convenient for you.
Let's go through the entire PeopleForce setup steps together!
Navigation:
1. What data can I get from PeopleForce?
2. How to connect your PeopleForce account to ApiX-Drive?
3. Setting up data acquisition.
4. Example of employee data.
To start setup a new connection, click "Create Connection"
Select the system as the Data Source. In this case, you must specify PeopleForce.
Next, you need to specify the action, for example “Get EMPLOYEES (new)”:
- Get EMPLOYEES (new) - Apix-Drive will get from your PeopleForce account all new employees that appear after setting up the connection and running auto-update.
- Get HIRED EMPLOYEES (new) - Apix-Drive will get from your PeopleForce account all new hired employees that appear after setting up the connection and running auto-update.
- Get FIRED EMPLOYEES (new) - Apix-Drive will get from your PeopleForce account all new fired employees that appear after setting up the connection and running auto-update.
- Get absence REQUESTS (new) - all new employee absence requests that appear after setting up the connection and running auto-update will be downloaded from your PeopleForce account.
- Get TASKS (new) - Apix-Drive will get from your PeopleForce account all new tasks that appear after setting up the connection and running auto-update.
- Get CANDIDATES (new) - Apix-Drive will get from your PeopleForce account all new candidates that appear after setting up the connection and running auto-update.
The next step is to select the PeopleForce account from which will get the data.
If there are no connected accounts to the system, click “Connect account”.
Next, you need to enter the API Key to connect to your PeopleForce personal account.
In order to obtain this data, log into your PeopleForce personal account in Settings, in the Security section, click API Keys.
If you do not have a generated API Key, click Generate.
In the Name field, give your connection a name and click Save to create it.
Next, copy your API Key and paste it into the appropriate field in your ApiX-Drive account.
When the connected account appears in the "active accounts" list, select it.
Attention! If your account is on the "inactive accounts" list, check your access to this login!
If the settings for the selected action are not provided, click “Continue”.
If necessary, you can set up a Data Filter, or click "Continue" to skip this step.
To find out how to setup the Data Filter, follow the link: https://apix-drive.com/en/help/data-filter
Now you can see test data for one of the employees.
If the test data does not appear automatically, click "Load test data from PeopleForce".
If you want to change the settings, click "Edit" and you will go back a step.
If you are satisfied with everything, click “Continue”.
This completes the entire Data Source setup! See how easy it is!?
Now you can start setup the Data Destination system.
To do this, setup it yourself or go to the help section "Data Destination", select the service you need as Data Destination, and follow the setup recommendations.
Good luck!
