How to Connect Freshdesk as Data Source
The integration will allow you to get contact and ticket data from Freshdesk, transferring it to other systems. For example, you can post new contacts to CRM or GoogleSheets, and send them as notifications to yourself or a group of managers. You can also post data to the SMS or Email Distribution service. The integration will allow you to automate the data processing process as efficiently as possible.
Let's go through the entire Freshdesk setup steps together!
Navigation:
1. What data can I get from Freshdesk?
2. How do I connect my Freshdesk account to ApiX-Drive?
3. An example of test data.
To start setup click "Create Connection".
Select a system as the Data Source. In this case, you need to specify Freshdesk.
Next, you need to specify an action, for example, "Get CONTACTS (new)".
- Get CONTACTS (new) - all new contacts will get from your Freshdesk account, which will appear in it once set up the connection and start auto-update.
- Get CONTACTS (modified) - ApiX-Drive will get data on contacts that have been changed from Freshdesk account once set up the connection and start auto-update.
- Get TICKETS (new) - all new tickets will get from your Freshdesk account, which will appear in it once set up the connection and start auto-update.
- Get TICKET (modified) - ApiX-Drive will get information on tickets that have been changed from Freshdesk account once set up the connection and start auto-update.
- Get TICKETS by status (new) - all new tickets in the selected status will get from Freshdesk account, which will appear in it once set up the connection and start auto-update. Note! If the ticket was already in a certain status, for which the action is set up, but it was changed and returned back to this status, then the system will not get the information about the ticket again.
The next step is to select the Freshdesk account from which will get the data.
If there are no accounts connected to the system, click "Connect account".
Specify your domain and API key to connect to your Freshdesk account.
Fill in the fields with the appropriate values, where:
Domain - the domain name of your Freshdesk account, without the additional characters https://, /, etc.
The API key is the key to connect to your Freshdesk account.
After that, the page will reload and the saved account will be automatically selected.
If this does not happen, select the created account in the list.
The API key is located in the "Profile settings" section.
If there are no settings for the selected action, click "Continue".
If necessary, you can set up a Data Filter, or click "Continue" to skip this step.
To find out how to set up the Data Filter, follow the link: https://apix-drive.com/en/help/data-filter
Now you can see the test data.
If the test data does not appear automatically - click "Load test data from Freshdesk" or try to generate test data in your Freshdesk. In this case, you need to create a new contact.
If everything suits you, click "Next".
This completes the entire Data Source setup! See how easy it is!?
Now you can set up the Data Destination system.
To do this, set up it yourself or go to the help section "Data Destination", select the service you need as Data Destination, and follow the setup recommendations.
Good luck!
