How to Connect Google Calendar as Data Destination

The integration will allow you to create new events or fast events in Google Calendar based on data from other systems. For example, you can create events based on data from your website, landing page, or Google Sheets. This will allow you to efficiently automate workflows as efficiently as possible with the various services you use and save a lot of time.

Once you've set up a Data Source system, such as Google Sheets, you can set up Google Calendar as a Data Destination.

To do this, click "Start configuring Data Destination".

Select the system as Data Destination. In this case, you must select Google Calendar.

Next, you need to specify the action, for example, "Create EVENT".

- Create EVENT - a new event will be created in your Google Calendar account. The system will make a new event based on the data from the source data.
- Create EVENT (fast) - a new fast event will be created in your Google Calendar account. The system will make a new fast event based on the data from the source data.

The next step is to select the Google Calendar account from which will get the data.

If there is no account connected to the system, click "Connect account".

Select which account you want to connect to ApiX-Drive and grant all permissions to work with this account.

Check the box "See, edit, share and permanently delete all the calendars that you can access using Google Calendar" so that the system gets access to work with your account.

When the connected account is displayed in the "active accounts" list, select it for further work.

Attention! If your account is in the "inactive accounts" list, check your access to this account!

Now you need to assign variables from the Data Source to the ActiveCampaign fields you need.

In order to add a variable, click on the field to which you need to transfer data and select the desired variable from the drop-down list. If necessary, you can write the data manually.

Pay attention! If after connecting, at the Settings stage, you see the error "Request had insufficient authentication scopes.", you will need to connect your Google Calendar account again, providing all permissions.

To do this, follow these steps:

1. Go to Access - Google Services - Google Calendar and delete the connected account.
2. Go to the main page and turn off auto-update link.
   
3. Go to the Access step in the Google Calendar Data Source and connect the account. Be sure to check the box next to "See, edit, share and permanently delete all the calendars that you can access using Google Calendar" when you connect.
   
4. If the error has not disappeared, and your account is picked up from the browser automatically, then repeat steps 1-3 by logging in to the browser through incognito mode.
   
5. Configure the Data Source and load the test data in the Validation step.

Now you can see the test data.

To check the correctness of the settings - click "Send test data to Google Calendar" and go to your Google Calendar to check the result.

To do this, click "Enable auto-update".

On the main screen, click on the gear icon to select the required update interval or setup scheduled launch. Attention! In order for the scheduled launch to work at the specified time, the interval between the current time and the specified time must be more than 5 minutes. For example, you select the time 12:10 and the current time is 12:08 - in this case, the automatic update of the connection will occur at 12:10 the next day. To make the current connection transmit data only after another connection, check the box "Update connection only after start other connection" and specify the connection after which the current connection will be started.
