Cursor AI Rolls Out “Ultra” Plan at $200 Per Month

Anysphere has unveiled a premium Ultra tier for its AI-assisted code editor, Cursor. At $200 a month, Ultra gives developers 20x usage on models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind and xAI than the $20 Pro plan, along with first-in-line access to future features.

The move rides a wave of momentum for the startup. Anysphere noted that Cursor’s annualized recurring revenue had already surged past the half-billion-dollar mark and that heavyweight customers such as Nvidia, Uber and Adobe are onboard.

Whether that growth can continue without colliding with Cursor’s own model partners remains to be seen. To hedge its bets, Anysphere is investing in proprietary technology; in May it introduced “Tab”, an in-house AI model that suggests code improvements.

The “vibe-coding” market is also becoming more crowded. Several language-model providers that power Cursor are launching their own coding assistants — industry chatter points to OpenAI’s reported acquisition of Windsurf, a key Cursor rival, while Anthropic keeps polishing its internal Claude Code tool.
