SERP (Search Engine Results Page) - this term is a special web page on which the user sees a list of search results.

The list of results depends on the search engine. So, Google and Bing will have different results, although the general principle of building a SERP will be identical. Typically, such pages display the titles of the found resources, sorted according to the ranking results, links to the nickname and a short description - organic search results.

In the early days of the internet, that was all. Today, some additional elements, such as contextual advertising or images, may also be present on the issue. There may also be all kinds of control elements, additional services. Again, this also depends on the search engine.

Most modern search engines provide the user with the ability to customize the search, making it more convenient. For example, you can change the design of the page or use any filters.

Often, due to the sheer number of available items that are associated with a query, it is common to see multiple pages in response to a single search query. In this case, each subsequent page will contain results with worse relevance. In this case, the tool for switching between these pages is usually contained in the lower part.
