Snapchat will Introduce a Paid Version with Subscription Access

An exclusive version of Snapchat will cost $3.99 per month, users will be able to access special icons, profile bages and many other options.

The Snapchat platform, which has over 330 million followers, is actively looking for ways to monetize through the introduction of paid services. Following the example of many other similar services, the social network decided to introduce a subscription service. Using a Snapchat+ subscription will cost users $3.99 per month.

As the company itself writes in an official statement, the new option is aimed at the most loyal Snapchat fans, who will be able to get, if not significant additional features, then at least a number of exclusive features. And in the future, it is planned to provide subscribers with early access to new functions and features of the social network.

Among the options that users can get now is access to exclusive icons, as well as a special profile badge that indicates that the user is a member of Snapchat+. Also, paid subscribers can get additional information about their friends and views of their posts, for example, to see who reviewed their Story.

Users from the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, the UAE and Saudi Arabia will be able to use Snapchat+ during the first phase of the launch of the subscription program. Subsequently, the geography of the service will be expanded.
