Slack will make Huddles more like Zoom
Thanks to the innovation, users will now be able to solve work issues via video calls without leaving Slack or switching to Zoom.
A major update to its Huddles communication tool was announced to users by Slack at its Frontiers conference. Previously, this communication channel was limited exclusively to audio capabilities, but now it has added a video communication option that resembles the popular Zoom service.
Video chat in Huddles has received quite advanced functionality. In particular, it added the ability to share the screen between multiple users. To start a video conversation, users will first need to start an audio chat, and from there it will be possible to start a video chat. If desired, the video can be opened in a new window and users may continue the video communication as a full-fledged separate chat.
It is assumed that the video communication option inside Slack will be convenient for those users who already use the platform as a working tool. And even in the presence of other convenient services, the ability not to change the application in the process is quite an important advantage.
