OpenAI Unveils Sora: Text-to-Video AI Now Open to All in the U.S.
OpenAI is introducing its neural network tool, Sora, which generates short video sequences from user-written text directives. Sora is now accessible to people throughout the United States. Although this advanced system was first showcased in February of this year and initially offered only to a select group of artists, filmmakers, and security evaluators, it has now become broadly available to the public.
Sora works by converting text prompts into concise video clips of up to 20 seconds. During its initial rollout, there will be some limitations on how many such clips users can produce, ensuring steady performance and resource management.
In terms of pricing, those subscribed to ChatGPT Plus, at $20 per month, may generate up to 50 videos each month. Meanwhile, customers choosing the ChatGPT Pro tier, at $200 per month, gain the ability to create up to 500 higher-quality videos at a faster rate and also enjoy unlimited capacity in a “slow” generation mode.
