NVIDIA Introduces Project DIGITS: Desktop AI Supercomputer

NVIDIA is set to redefine artificial intelligence computing with the launch of Project DIGITS, an innovative AI supercomputer designed to fit effortlessly on a standard desk. Moving away from the conventional requirement of expansive server rooms, Project DIGITS offers an impressive 1 petaflop of AI performance at FP4 precision. This breakthrough technology democratizes access to high-powered AI, catering to developers, researchers, and students who need robust computing capabilities without the burden of maintaining extensive infrastructure.

At the heart of Project DIGITS is the new NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, which seamlessly integrates the latest Blackwell GPU with the Grace CPU to deliver outstanding performance and efficiency. The system is equipped with 128GB of unified memory and up to 4TB of NVMe storage, ensuring it can handle demanding workloads with ease. Project DIGITS supports smooth integration with leading AI frameworks such as PyTorch, NVIDIA NeMo, and RAPIDS. These developer-friendly tools empower users to create and manage complex AI models directly from their desktops with remarkable efficiency.

Project DIGITS allows users to run 200-billion-parameter models on their desktops. For those requiring additional power, two DIGITS systems can be connected to manage models up to 405 billion parameters. NVIDIA plans to release Project DIGITS in May 2025, with pricing starting at $3,000.
