Meta announced the launch of Instagram Reels API
Developers will be able to implement tools such as posting, comment moderation, and many others in their own services.
Meta continues to actively develop the Reels short video service. In particular, citing numerous requests in the developer community, the company has introduced the Instagram Reels API. The Reels API functionality is already available to developers, who now have the ability to more fully integrate Reels tools with their own services.
Thanks to the new API, Instagram Business users will be able to integrate a range of Reels business tools with third-party services. This includes the ability to publish posts and access to business information, such as insights and recommendations, and advanced platform search options. Also, a variety of statistical information can be transmitted using the API, which allowsto track the reaction of the audience to the published videos.
Developers will be able to use the provided API to integrate Reels tools with their own services and applications through the Instagram Graph API. Access will be provided to individual developers from June 28, and by July 6 it is planned to provide it to all users. Moreover, the company reports that if the developer already uses the API from Instagram, then access to new features will be provided automatically.
