LinkedIn's Premium Subscriptions Reach $1.7 Billion Milestone
LinkedIn recently disclosed that its premium subscription sector achieved a remarkable $1.7 billion in revenue for 2023, a surge attributed to the increased adoption of its innovative artificial intelligence tools. The company also reported a total fiscal revenue of $15 billion for the same period.
The professional networking platform has been actively enhancing its premium subscription options, targeting job seekers and other users with a starting price of $39.99 per month. A key element of this expansion has been the roll-out of AI technologies last year, designed to analyze job postings and a candidate's resume for a potential match, improve the attractiveness of LinkedIn profiles to recruiters, and facilitate the automated generation of messages to recruiters.
Dan Shapero, the Chief Operating Officer of LinkedIn, reported a 25% growth in the number of premium subscribers for 2023, though he did not provide the exact number of subscribers. Shapero further shared initial findings indicating that 70% of those with access to the new AI features have tried them out, and of these, 90% have found the tools to be effective.
