This feature, which debuted within the Gemini app, allows the AI assistant to access the Google ecosystem, including Gmail, Photos, Search, and YouTube history.

Personal Intelligence is now being rolled out to users subscribed to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra, with the feature available in English and requiring opt-in. By tapping into data already stored across Google services, the company aims to offer a more individualized experience that competitors may struggle to match. Users retain control over their privacy, as Personal Intelligence can be enabled or disabled at any time.

Google provides examples of where Personal Intelligence can be useful. Google clarifies that AI Mode does not train directly on Gmail or Photos content. Instead, it trains on specific prompts and the model’s generated responses.
