ChatGPT’s Pulse Delivers Personalized Morning Reports
OpenAI has introduced Pulse, a new ChatGPT feature that delivers interactive morning briefings to help users start their day efficiently. Each day, the AI system generates five to ten cards with text and visual content. These cards can include news summaries, travel plans, meal suggestions, family activities, etc., providing users with visually engaging and actionable information. By clicking on a card, users can view the full report, request additional details, or leave feedback to improve future updates.
Pulse leverages ChatGPT’s memory to tailor content to users’ routines and preferences. For example, it can suggest running routes during trips, recommend meals according to dietary preferences, or propose creative family activities. The briefings are intentionally limited in number, allowing users to quickly access essential information without endless scrolling.
The feature integrates with Gmail, Google Calendar, and other apps via ChatGPT Connectors, enabling users to highlight important messages and create daily agendas. Currently, Pulse is available only to $200-per-month Pro subscribers due to its high computational demands, but OpenAI plans to expand access in the future. In the long term, Pulse could evolve into a fully agentic assistant capable of autonomously drafting emails, making reservations, and managing other tasks. Its development will depend on AI reliability and the level of user trust.
