TikTok is a social network that allows you to view and download short videos with filters, music, and various graphic effects. The developer and owner of the service is the Chinese company ByteDance. The social network became available to users from China in 2016, and its international version was launched in 2018. The service is offered as a mobile application for iOS and Android, and its interface supports 40 world languages. TikTok provides a wide range of built-in tools for creating videos, allowing you to add background music to it, slow down or speed up recordings, and apply certain filters to the video. Users can select background music from an extensive library, sync footage with songs, capture reactions to other videos, and duet clips horizontally. By January 2021, the number of active users of the international version of TikTok for the month reached 689 million. In addition, a Chinese version of the service called Douyin has over 600 million daily active users. Thus, the total audience of this social network is more than 1.2 billion users. The TikTok app home page displays a video feed that automatically selects content based on the videos the user has watched. The service also allows you to make accounts private, prohibiting other users not only from downloading videos from there, but also from finding them in the search. Separately, it is worth noting the option to limit the time of using the social network: 40, 60, 90 or 120 minutes per day.
