SoundCloud is expanding its creative capabilities through a new integration with ElevenMusic, the AI music generation platform developed by ElevenLabs. Artists can now publish tracks created with ElevenMusic directly to SoundCloud, providing a simpler way to bring their work to listeners. The integration builds on SoundCloud's growing collection of creative tools, including its October partnership with Moises for transferring music between platforms. Existing connections with Google Flow Music and the remix service Hook further support this expanding ecosystem.

ElevenLabs began developing its music generation technology in 2025 before launching a prompt-based song creation app in April 2026. A subsequent model introduced in May added the ability to move between musical genres within a single composition and generate more complex vocals. The company's technology has already been used to create more than 25 million tracks. As part of the SoundCloud collaboration, Artist Pro subscribers can receive three months of ElevenMusic Pro, with allowances for up to 1,000 generated songs, 500 stem separations, and five custom styles or vocals each month.

The agreement complements ElevenLabs' existing relationship with Spotify, which enables authors to produce AI-narrated audiobooks for distribution through the streaming service. Spotify has separately partnered with record labels on AI-powered remixing products but has not announced a comparable music model partnership. Other platforms are pursuing their own strategies: Deezer is adding an AI music filter, Bandcamp has restricted AI-generated tracks, and Spotify and YouTube are approaching labeling more cautiously. SoundCloud's integration instead highlights opportunities for artists to share AI-assisted creations and reach wider audiences.
