Instagram will give the ability to tag products to all users
A feature previously only available to brands and special creator pages is now available to regular users, though only in the US for now.
The Instagram platform announced that a feature announced a few months earlier has become available to a wide range of users. We are talking about the ability to put tags on products presented in posts that are posted on the social network. Thus, the social network expands the possibilities for the development of e-commerce and provides tools for its conduct to the maximum number of users.
Previously, only brand accounts and creator pages could put product tags, but now ordinary users with public pages have received this option. While it is only available to users in the US, the scope of the new tool will be expanded later.
The option to tag products is available to users when they add a new photo or video to their page, but it is not yet available for Stories. You can tag a product in just a few clicks, at the end selecting the desired product and touching its image to add a tag. Subsequently, users who view the post will be able to click on the mark next to the product and go to its page, and the ability to purchase the product directly on Instagram is also available.
