Speakers and their talks:

✅ Illia Klymov is currently developing JavaScript.Sich — a Ukrainian-language JavaScript content project aimed at helping Ukrainian-speaking JavaScript developers become some of the best in the world. In his talk “JavaScript, Agentic Coding, and Harsh Reality”, Illia will share practical experience of using AI in a large brownfield project at GitLab: how to combine artificial intelligence and JavaScript, what actually works in agent-based development, and why the mythical 10x productivity is not as simple as it seems.

✅ Andrii Shumada is a strong advocate of TDD and the “everything as code” approach, a public speaker, and an open-source contributor. During his talk “No MCP, No Zod: Lean AI Agents in Node.js and Vertex AI”, Andrii will explain how to build a multi-tool AI agent with Node.js and Google Vertex AI, share his experience in choosing models and scaling development through CI/CD, and explain why the team decided to move away from MCP servers and Zod, which are often considered the standard for such systems.

✅ Oleksandr Zinevych is an Engineering Director at Avenga with more than 10 years of experience in web application development. He has worked with .NET, Java, Ruby, and JavaScript, and today leads the engineering culture development in the company’s Node.js and Ruby departments. During his talk “Teach AI to Use Your Backend: The Magic of MCP”, Oleksandr will demonstrate how to turn a regular REST API into an MCP server and teach AI to work with your backend. You’ll learn the basics of the Model Context Protocol, the required tools, and key security considerations.
