HoReCa
HoReCa is a term that refers to many companies that provide services in the hospitality industry.
The abbreviation stands for:
- Ho — Hotel;
- Re — Restaurant;
- Ca — Catering/Cafe.
In other words, it is a general name for catering establishments, from a simple meal to an overnight stay. Examples of HoReCa companies:
- restaurant, cafe near the hotel;
- cafe, restaurant on site;
- food court on the territory of the hotel or belonging to it;
- night clubs, discos;
- cafes in cinemas;
- a small pavilion with products, located at the reception, etc.
HoReCa Goods
HoReCa products include products of the "here and now" category, which can be purchased in this place, at the present time, these can be:
- light snacks: chips, popcorn, crackers;
- light alcoholic products: beer, beer drinks;
- elite alcohol, the price range of which is above average, is sold, usually, in restaurants;
- tobacco products;
- products of the "counter" type: chewing gum, small sweets, small bottles of water.
HoReCa points are not a very profitable distribution channel for manufacturers, unlike retail. In this case, the main goal is not earnings, but work on brand recognition, increasing consumer loyalty.
