YouTube gave its users a bright set of new emojis — "YouTube Emotes". Despite their gaming orientation, they are great for communicating on any topic.

Popular video hosting YouTube has released a set of its own emoji "YouTube Emotes". At the moment, it has 62 smileys, mostly dedicated to video games. In the future, it is planned to increase their number and, accordingly, expand the subject matter. Interestingly, users who have already tried them claim that they are very similar to Twitch emoji.

YouTube emojis are available for video comments and chats. The list of emoticons is called up by clicking on the laughing icon after placing the cursor in the "Add comment" line. You won't have to look for them for a long time, since they are located above the rest of the emoji categories ("People", "Nature", "Food", "Travel", "Sports", "Objects", "Symbols"). With Twitch emoticons, emojis on YouTube, in addition to style, are also united by the presence of special names. For example, if you type ":trophy-yellow-smiling:" in the search bar in the emoji box, you will see only one of them — smiling yellow trophy award.

The new set does not include the popular Twitch "LUL" and "pogchamp" emojis. Instead, there are emoticons showing the buffering process, "game over" and GG. Answering questions from users, YouTube representatives clarified that the first package is dedicated specifically to gaming topics, and promised that others will definitely appear in the future.

The creators of the gaming emoji set for YouTube are freelance digital artists. The debut pack of "YouTube Emotes" was created by Ghanaian-American illustrator Abel Hayford, American designer Rashon Eugene Vaughn and British designer Guy Field.
