OpenAI Introduces ChatGPT for Windows

OpenAI has announced the release of the ChatGPT desktop application for Windows. Currently, the new application is only available to users with Plus, Team, Enterprise, and Edu plan subscriptions. The company has assured that it will soon be available to everyone for free, and it will happen this year.

The program makes it possible to use ChatGPT directly on a personal computer. It allows you to upload files and photos, discuss documents with the bot, receive concise summaries of texts, and create images through DALL-E 3.

ChatGPT for Windows is compatible with Windows 10 and 11 operating systems. As it is currently in early testing, some features available on macOS or the web version may not be available. The app does not yet support voice commands and advanced voice mode, as well as a number of integrations with OpenAI's GPT store.

ChatGPT for Windows can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store. Like the macOS version, the program is minimized to a small window. When working with other programs, it is activated by the key combination "Alt + Space."
