A New Way to Promote Content on YouTube: a Test for the Elite
Video hosting YouTube has launched testing a new Promotions tool to speed up and simplify the promotion of content.
Some YouTube users have noticed a new tab called "Promotions" on their Studio content creation page. Those who had it were chosen by the company to test a new way to promote video content and channels, bypassing the Google Ads Manager platform. This tool should facilitate and speed up the process of buying advertising and promoting content to its authors. A limited number of users have been selected to test the new feature, as reported on the YouTube support page. The timing of when it will become available in large quantities is not yet known.
The company's developers decided to meet the needs of video content creators who need additional tools aimed at expanding audience coverage. They made a simplified "end-to-end" process inside Studio, not in Google Ads, and started testing it. This is discussed in the official statement of representatives of the video hosting.
The innovation will give video creators the ability to quickly launch ads, see how they work on different types of content, increase revenue from them and increase their presence on YouTube. Vloggers will also be able to see the main indicators of promotion results in the application for mobile devices.
In addition, YouTube is now improving the management of live broadcasts. Initiators will now have access to scheduling, managing and editing live and upcoming broadcasts in their personal YouTube Studio and Live Control Rooms on mobile devices. Prior to this, their rights were limited to moderation of live chats during the broadcast. YouTube representatives noted that these features should appear for all users by September 4, 2022.
