PaaS (Platform as a Service) is a service model in which companies receive a platform from a provider to develop, manage and maintain various types of software.

Thanks to this, they use ready-made modules, rather than creating them from scratch. PaaS includes a full range of technical and software infrastructure: a single integrated environment for the development of programs and applications, as well as their updates, support and other activities.

Modern PaaS platforms make it possible to freely transfer information between different storage sources, as well as create backup copies. A number of tools for operational communication and organization of joint remote work on a project are also available here. Today, there are more than 350 PaaS providers and over 500 PaaS products on the market. The most popular among them are Microsoft Azure, Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS Elastic), Jelastic, Heroku, as well as Red Hat OpenShift and IBM Bluemix.
