PrestaShop is an e-commerce solution to create your own online store. This open source application is written in PHP and supports the MySQL database management system. PrestaShop users, and according to the company itself, there are more than 300,000 of them worldwide, can create a store with full functionality. Flexible configuration allows you to use more than 300 ready-made functions and add tools to the structure of the online store for managing the catalog of goods and payments, collecting statistics and analysis, embedding delivery services, interacting with customers and suppliers, and much more. Of course, as in most similar systems, the user has ample opportunity to choose the design of his store and flexible customization of its appearance. The service offers its users a web template system that allows you to use a variety of additional modules to add or change a particular function of the store. To get these add-ons, there is the PrestaShop Addons marketplace, where third-party developers offer their store themes and add-ons that extend their functionality. The company was founded in 2007 by Igor Schlumberger and Bruno Leveque. The idea for its creation grew out of a student project at the Paris-based EPITECH IT School, which was originally called phpOpenStore. Then the project was only available in French and English, but today the platform is offered in more than 70 different languages and can be used by customers from all over the world.
