Emoji Help Improve Your Online Experience
According to the study, people who use emoji in Internet communication are rated higher by interlocutors than those who prefer simple text messages.
Adobe has released its 2022 Emoji Report, which notes that their use in digital communication is steadily growing in popularity. More than 5,000 Americans participated in the sociological study. Its goal is to find out why US residents actually use emoji and how they treat those who use them.
According to the survey results, 73% of respondents consider people who use emojis to be more friendly, fun and cool compared to those who ignore them. The vast majority (91% of respondents) are convinced that it is easier to express themselves with emograms, and 60% believe that they have a positive effect on the psyche.
Rating of the most popular emoji among Americans surveyed:
- 1st place - emoticon "laughter to tears."
- 2nd place - gesture "thumb up".
- 3rd place - "red heart" symbol.
- 4th place - smile "rolling on the floor with uncontrollable laughter."
- 5th place – "crying" emoticon.
On September 13, 2022, the Unicode Consortium announced the official release of the 15.0 standard. It includes 20 new emojis: pink, gray and light blue hearts, jellyfish, crow, ginger root, fan, hairpin, maracas, trembling smiley and other equally interesting novelties.
