The platform has enhanced the user collaboration experience by adding dropdown menus to tables.

Announced by Google, numerous updates in the field of expanding the possibilities of collaboration and project management in Google Docs are constantly being put into action. One of the latest innovations is the addition of dropdown menus to Google Docs spreadsheets.

Users will be able to add and customize a wide variety of drop-down menus in their documents. Including changing the number of elements, choosing the names and colors of items, as well as saving the created menus as a template and using them in the future.

A team can use such menus, for example, to coordinate actions, track the progress of tasks, coordinate communication between employees who can work from different locations, etc. They can also be used to work with clients, tracking the stages of the transaction and changing the status of the completion of one or another step as they are completed.

Users will be able to find the Dropdown menu option in the Insert submenu, and access to the new option will be rolled out to all Workspace users and regular personal accounts over the coming weeks. With the advent of such tools, Google Docs can become an excellent replacement for various kinds of CRM and project management systems, the main drawback of which for many medium and small companies is the high cost of use.
