Formbricks is an open-source platform designed to collect, process, and analyze feedback from customers, users, employees, or other categories of respondents. It is ideal for conducting various types of surveys, including standard surveys with customization, scalable web surveys, and targeted in-app surveys.
The premium version of Formbricks XM Suite provides additional tools for processing customer and stakeholder feedback. It allows companies and organizations to effectively automate their work with data, quickly obtaining insights needed for decision-making.
Available at https://formbricks.com/docs/api-reference/rest-api, the v1 API consists of two variants: the Public Client API for managing the frontend components of surveys and the Management API for solving backend tasks. The mentioned variants of the Formbricks API have different tasks, settings, and authentication requirements. Their data access levels also differ.
For example, the Public Client API uses a native SDK and does not require authentication. This makes it the best solution for client-side interactions without transmitting sensitive information. Whereas the Management API provides the highest level of access to Formbricks account data and settings. Therefore, it can only be used with a personal API key for authentication. You can generate and manage the key in the service application settings.
You can also connect the Formbricks service with third-party systems via our ApiX-Drive connector. It's simple, fast, and doesn't require any special skills.
