Noindex

Noindex is a tag for the HTML markup of a web page that prevents the search robot from indexing the text placed inside it.

This tag was introduced by the Yandex search engine and is recognized only by its bots, while Google does not pay any attention to Noindex. The Noindex tag does not belong to the official specification of the HTML language; it can be used to prohibit only the indexing of the text on the web page, but not the links placed on it.

In addition, there is the official universally recognized Noindex meta tag, designed to close not part of the text content from indexing, but the entire web page. This meta tag is written in the head section and looks like this:

<meta name="robots" content="noindex" />.

It is recognized by Yandex and Google robots, preventing them from indexing all content posted on this web page. At the same time, the Noindex meta tag does not prevent bots from visiting this page and following the links placed on it (if they are not marked with the Nofollow tag).
